My Admiration

One person I greatly admire is LeBron James. He is an NBA player with one of the greatest legacies. He still plays to this day at 40 yrs old. He is my hero because of his perseverance, his body care awareness, and being a superstar and a family man too. He always strives to get better and even though he has been the best at times, he always thinks he can get better which is the right mindset to have. Did you know he spends over $1,000,000 on care for his body? The right nutrition, meditation, trainers, and workout equipment. Most superstars or famous people aren’t very nice to their fans and other people, and most people deny it or don’t know it. But for LeBron, that’s different. He has a loving wife, and three children who he cares and worries about deeply. Those are the reasons why LeBron is my hero.

Sports

This year I am going to focus on the word sports. I want to put in extra time in devotion to sports during free moments. During the summer I want to practice shooting in my pool for water polo during the offseason. I will go to swim conditioning more often to get faster while also strengthening my legs. I will do extra land workouts to push myself even more than usual. Push up, sit up, squats, dead hang, that stuff. That is why I am focusing on sports this year.

Rad Reading – December

This month I read Unstoppable, by Tim Green. It starts out as the main character Harrison on the Constable’s farm. A place where foster kids learn discipline until adopted. But then Harrison’s luck changes and he gets adopted by loving parents and the Dad coaches football, what Harrison watched on his free time. Harrison then starts living life as a normal kid, going to school, playing sports, and gets a crush. But then, fate takes a turn for the worst, Harrison had been diagnosed with a disease that involves maybe never playing football again. Will he power through being crippled, or will he never step on the 100 yard field again.

I really liked how inspiring and true this book is. A true realistic book about student life at home and at school. Along with the detailed description of everything and especially what it’s like to be the new kid in sports and school. That is why I like the book.

My favorite character in the book is Justin because he is welcoming. When Harrison had moved to the new home Justin was very nice and bought him Subway. One quote to prove this is “Good, you want some Subway?”

My favorite quote is “You know what people like are that quit, a gimp.” Said by Major Kirk Bauer. This is my favorite because it is what motivates Harrison to do more and not stop at the minimum. This is what helps him get through the tough time when he is crippled.

I’m The King Of The School

I’m the king of the school, yes indeed I am. Would you usually call me a principal, yes, but I would be addressed as the king. That would be my first change. My second change is that there would be no homework for a very long time. My third change would be every day a minimum day so students can actually enjoy there afternoon for a while instead of rushing right after school to sports and having no time to do homework. My fourth change would be if there was any trouble at all, they would be called to the redevelopment room, an underground complex with special teachers who specialize in specific student problems. My fifth and final change would be if students failed the learning classes in the redevelopment room, they would be sent to Mr. Harm. An AI algorithm that would scan the students and play, do, or scare there worst nightmares to get them to learn. Those would be my changes if I were the king of the school.

Rad Reading – November

This month I read Champion by Marie Lu. It is the final book in the trilogy series Legend. It first takes place eight months after the last book where Day now is working with the Republic and June is a Princeps-elect. The Republic and Colonies were almost at a peace treaty when a massive outburst of a virus starts spreading like wildfire. The Colonies blame the Republic for the mess and the treaty is broken. The Elector knows they are going to attack because the Republic does not have a cure so they fly to Antarctica for help. The Colonies have teamed up with Africa so they are also even stronger. In the middle the colonies launch their first attack on Denver which they win because of Africa’s help. The Republic is now desperate and they finally find the missing piece to a cure. While that happens Day is announcing a fake surrender to buy time for help to come. Did it work? Read the book to find out.

I really liked how the trilogy ended. The conclusion of the book and the all around final plan is stunning. There is deep description of the characters so it feels like you’re watching the book from a third person point of view. I also like how the action is always ramping up even in the slowest parts of the book (which there aren’t many).

My favorite character in the this book was Day’s little brother Eden. He is my favorite because he is a trooper. Even though he had just come out of a lab for studying purposes, they needed him and he wanted to help. One quote to describe this is “Let me go Daniel, I want to help!”

My favorite quotes are “Hi, I’m Daniel.” and “Hi, I’m June.” These are my favorite because they are at the end of the trilogy and spark thoughts into people’s heads. It makes you wonder if they ever will reconnect or bond again. That is why those are my favorite quotes.

Super Bird!!

Super bird had a very interesting past. He was born a regular pigeon, scrounging for food in the big cities with his family and community. But his community was always beaten to the food by the CrOwz. A gang of nasty birds that would do shady things and make shady stuff. They would always bully the pigeons. But one day in the big city of LA when Super bird’s flock was looking for food, Super bird found the Great Leaf. It latched to his face as a mask and only he could see through it. He could now use sonic screeches. The sound was so amplified that it blew away anything that got in the way. He had also mastered the ancient art of bird-fu. Something only the big birds were taught by master fu-wi-yuh, the last living bird of his kind. Nobody knew who he was when he returned to his flock. But then the CrOwz arrived, looking for a fight. Super bird stepped in and used his sonic screech on the CrOwz. When they got back on there feet, they were really angry. They charged, but super bird was ready. He used bird-fu on them and saved the pigeons! He would forever be know as The Pigeon Saver, or The CrOwz defeater.

Things I Am Thankful For

There are plenty of things I am thankful for, but if I had to choose three, these would be the ones. Firstly, I am thankful for my family. They are always there to support me in times of need, and help me with plenty of tough tasks. Secondly, I am thankful for my friends. Some the best people to spend time with. I always have fun with them when we hang out. Lastly, I am thankful for sports. I really love playing them and always have fun no matter what it is. Those are the three things I am thankful for.

Three Wishes

If a magical genie appeared and granted me three wishes, it would be a tough choice to decide what I would want. My first wish would be the biggest mansion in the world, with multiple gaming rooms, laser tag, private water park and arcade, a mini golf course, and much, much more. My second wish would be a giant blank book the size of the dictionary that whatever I wrote in it would come true. My third and final wish would be a massive museum of every animal in the world, including the past and the future. It would have a giant elevator to get to the habitat floors and a horizontal escalator to go across the floors. It would have automatic food and water appear every time the animals need it, and automated care robots. Those would be my three wishes.

Rad Reading – October

This month I read Prodigy, by Marie Lu. It is a sequel of the book Legend. In the beginning they are finding refuge by the Patriots, a group of people trying to bring the USA back to its former glory. They then get a mission to assassinate the new Elector Primo, or the leader of the Republic. The plan is simple, June, a former Republic princess almost, pretend to be caught and get a chance to talk the Elector as a fugitive. She would tell him that the Patriots were planning to kill him when he is in one of the war front cities. When that happens, Day, along with other Patriots, will secretly travel to the new war front city where the real assassination will happen. But when the plan is in motion, June learns that this Elector is different from the last. She thinks it could be a new beginning, and the bloodlust could come to an end.

I really like this book because it is a lot like the last, being filled with non stop action and suspense. Also I like the multiple perspectives so I constantly know all the characters are thinking and doing. I really recommend this book for action lovers.

My favorite character is Day because he is very resilient and always pulls through in the end. Even when things are tough he always finds a way to help people and do things for the better. This is why Day is my favorite character.

My favorite quote from Prodigy is when Day says “Know! Your! Enemy!” This is my favorite because Day is holding support for the person that he decided not to trust earlier and making the Republic change for the better. This now makes everything change because the people follow Day and what he does and the new Elector needed the people on his side to lead the Republic.

ShoTime!

If I had to choose a person to switch places with it would be Shohei Ohtani. Shohei is described to be one of, if not the best, MLB baseball player in the world. He can pitch and hit, and excels at both. If would really want to know what it is like to live rich and have butlers. Also a great place for mansion games. Big house, many places to be. Being rich also comes with gourmet meals and private yachts and jets. I wouldn’t mind taking super long flights in a private jet though. I would also like to play on major league fields, hitting towering homers, and pitch 99 mph. I would also like to be famous. Shohei is one of the most famous people across the globe. Not just in the USA. That is why i would want to switch places with Shohei Ohtani.
